First, upgrade to the version "081226_1216" using one of the following files:

• If you have firmware version older than "081127":
  • dune_bd_firmware_081226_1216.dff (49M)
• If you have firmware version "081127" or newer, but older than "081217":
  • dune_firmware_bdprime_081226_1216.dff (49M)
• If you have firmware version "081217" or later:
  • dune_firmware_bdprime_sunext_081226_1216.dff (49M)

Then, upgrade to the version "081226_1216_update1" using the following instructions:

1. Download the .DFF file and additionally the following .DSF file: dune_service_upgrade_to_081226_1216_update1.dsf (280K)
2. Put both files (.DFF and .DSF) into the root folder of a USB drive.
3. Attach the USB drive to the player, and disconnect all other drives from the player.
4. Launch the .DSF file in the player. Firmware installation will be launched.
5. Optional: after successful firmware installation and rebooting the player, attach an additional empty USB flash drive to the player and launch the .DFF file to initialize the empty USB flash drive as the System Storage and install Extra Applications. More details.

Then, upgrade to any other newer firmware version in the usual way.
