Version "180606_1345_r13" (the latest stable version)
Download: dune_firmware_tv292a_180606_1345_r13.dff (ZIP)
Changes since 180426_1318_r13:
- New feature: When working with Movies or My Collection functions, on
Movie screen, the new section "Similar" shows the list of
similar/recommended movies. NOTE: To eanble this feature for movies which
are part of My Collection, they should be reindexed (remove indexed data
  and then perform indexing again).

- New feature: Fast forward (FF) and fast rewind (REW) are now supported in
  Dune HD internal player.

- New feature: Picture settings (brightness, contrast, saturation, hue) can
now be adjusted during video playback, when using Dune HD internal
player, same as on Sigma-based Dune HD models.

- New feature: IP Control functionality is now partially supported.
Currently, only the possibility to emulate RC button presses is supported
  ("ir_code" command).
   - The protocol is the same as was previously used in Sigma based Dune HD
     models: http://dune-hd.com/support/ip_control
   - NOTE: When the player is in standby mode, IP Control can not be used
when "Sleep" or "Power off" mode is used (in these modes, CPU and OS
are not running and can not handle IP Control commands), it can only
be used when "Software standby" mode is used. "Software standby" mode
is currently supported only for Pro 4K model and old Sigma based
models; it is currently not supported for Neo 4K, Neo 4K T2, Neo 4K T2
Plus, Sky 4K Plus models. So, for Neo 4K, Neo 4K T2, Neo 4K T2 Plus,
Sky 4K models, IP Control can only be used when the player is not in
     standby mode.

- New feature: Screensaver can now be enabled and configured via "Setup /
  General" menu.

- Improvement: Aspect ratio of video files could be wrongly identified in
some cases (for anamorphic video files with non-sqaure pixels), that
caused wrong behavior of the default zoom mode. NOTE: This improvement is
  currently implemented for video files only, not for online video streams;
for online video streams, the same improvement is planned for a future
  firmware update.

- Improvement: Auto framerate and auto resolution did not work properly for
  23.976p/24p SD video.

- Improvement: Auto framerate did not work properly for 23.976p/24p video
when 4K video mode was used and 50/60 (no 24p) auto framerate mode was
used. In this case, 4Kp29/4Kp30 video was wrongly chosen instead of
  4Kp59/4Kp60.

- Improvement: Auto resolution for almost-FullHD video (such as 1912x1072
instead of 1920x1080) now works by switching to FullHD video mode (the
previous behavior was to consider such files as having no matching video
mode and keep the previous video mode).

- Improvement: The default value of system setting "HDMI Range Mode" is
changed from "Auto" to "Limited" to improve compatibility with some HDMI
  equipment.

- Improvement: When working with Movies or My Collection functions, the
performance of loading movies information improved (especially when using
  slow Internet connection).

- Improvement: The UI for choosing time zone in the initial setup wizard is
  now more convenient.

- Improvement: When the player is booting, unneeded picture flickering
which could previously happen before showing the main menu is now
  eliminated.

- Bugfix: Some ISO files (with 16-bit filenames encoding) were not
recognized and could not be played.

- Bugfix: When working with SMB shares which require user/password, files
on these shares could not be accessed in some cases.

- Bugfix: When connecting via SMB to a host which has multiple IP
addresses, wrong IP address could be used and thus the host could not be
  accessed in some cases.

- Bugfix: Wi-Fi connection to a network without a password did not work.

- Bugfix: Adding Android applications to "Favorites" menu did not work
  properly in some cases.

- Bugfix: When working with Movies or My Collection functions, when
navigating through the UI, there were various minor bugs in the shown
  information in some rare cases.

- Bugfix: When starting a plugin which requires network connectivity, the
system could hang in some rare cases.

- Bugfix: When starting a plugin which uses icon archive functionality, the
system could hang in some rare cases. Also, the performance of icon
  archive downloading improved.

- Bugfix: After settings reset, when the initial setup wizard is shown, and
a local storage device with *.dsf or *.dff files is connected, a special
service dialog listing these files could be wrongly shown.

- Improvements for PHP plugins and PHP API:

    - New feature: A possibility to emulate RC button presses (same as in
Sigma based Dune HD models) is now available for PHP plugins.

    - New feature: "android_platform" parameter is now available via
      "/tmp/run/versions.txt" and "/firmware/config/android_platform.txt".

    - Bugfix: Loading images via HTTP URL which redirects to HTTPS URL did
      not work in some cases.

- Updated/improved UI translations for some languages.

- Some other minor improvements/fixes.

Download: dune_firmware_tv292a_180426_1318_r13.dff (ZIP)
Changes since 180320_1247_r13:
- New feature: Google Play Store and Google Services support added, with a
unique possibility to easily enable/disable Google Services depending on

things in background, do not consume system resources). Google Services
are initially disabled and are automatically enabled when pressing
"Google Play Store" icon in "Android applications" section for the first
time. After Google Services are enabled, they can be disabled by
  resetting settings to factory defaults.

- New feature: Added a new setting "Audio / Digital audio connector" with
options "HDMI (HD audio enabled)" (default) and "S/PDIF (HD audio

encoding" which allows to specify subtitles encoding (same as on Sigma
  models).

- New feature: REPEAT and SHUFFLE functions for playlists are now
implemented (same as on Sigma models).

- New feature: Sleep timer is now implemented (same as on Sigma models,
works only when working with Dune HD GUI). By default it is disabled. It
can be enabled via the new setting "Setup / Misc / Power manamenent /
  Sleep timer".

- New feature: Discrete power-on and power-off IR codes are now supported
(codes 5F and 5E, same as on Sigma models).

- Improvement: List of audio tracks and subtitle tracks now shows more
information (and more correct information) about tracks.

- Improvement: YouTube icon (in "Android applications") now installs a
newer version of YouTube, with 4K video support.

proper title "Applications" (rather than "Dune HD Applications").

- Improvement: On power-on, an unneeded extra HDMI reinitialization took
  place.

- Improvement: In System setup menu, some unneeded and non-working
  Android-related settings are removed.

- Improvement: Debug dump now includes more useful information.

- Bugfix: It was possible to exit standby mode by various wrong IR codes.

- Bugfix: It was possible to exit standby mode by switching the connected
  HDMI equipment on/off.

- Bugfix: Some AVI files could not be played.

- Bugfix: When saving debug dump to NTFS-formatted storage device, the
  system could hang.

- Bugfix: SD cards were wrongly mounted read-only.

- Bugfix: In some rare cases, GUI could stop responding to any RC button
  presses.

- Improvements for PHP plugins and PHP API:

   - New feature: New action "RESTART" is introduced, with parameter
"reboot" (possible values "yes" and "no"), which allows the plugin to
request GUI restart or full reboot.

   - New feature: "PLUGIN_OPEN_FOLDER" action is extended with the new
parameter "sel_id", which can be used to preselect the given item in
regular folders (value is media_url of the item to preselect).

   - New feature: For TV plugins which support TV archive (catchup),
LEFT/RIGHT RC buttons can now be used to switch to archive mode and
seek in the archive even in Live TV mode. For TV plugins which do not
support archive, LEFT/RIGHT RC buttons are now correctly ignored in
     Live TV mode.

   - New feature: "PLAYBACK_STOP" action now supports the following
     additional parameters: "plugin_vod_stop_position",
     "plugin_vod_duration", "plugin_vod_start_tm", "plugin_vod_stop_tm",

     actually wrongly used.

   - Bugfix: In TV OSD, crash could occur in some specific cases when
trying to scroll through the list of TV channels.

- Updated/improved UI translations for some languages.

- Some other minor improvements/fixes.

NOTE: In comparison with the version 180317_0153_r13, this firmware version
also includes the following changes which were included in the version
180320_1247_r13:

- New feature: Added a new setting "Misc / Power Managment / POWER button
behavior" with options "Power off" (default) and "Software standby".
"Software standby" means that CPU and OS services continue running when
the player is in standby mode (useful when NAS functionality such as SMB
server is used) (same as on Sigma models).

- New feature: long-pressing "POWER" RC button shows a menu with options
"Power off" (put the player in "Power off" standby mode) and "Restart"
  (reboot the player).

- New feature: Subtitles visualization settings (vertical offset, color,
font) are now remembered (same as on Sigma models).

- New feature: Added a new setting "Video / Advanced / Preferred HDMI color
depth" with options "Maximum" and "As in content" to allow even more
precise control of all parameters of HDMI signal. "Maximum" (default)
means use HDMI color depth supported by the connected HDMI equipment
(according to "Maximum HDMI color depth" setting), even if content with
lower color depth is played (e.g. output 10 bit when outputting to a TV
supporting 10 bit when 8 bit content is played). "As in content" means
use HDMI color depth as in content, even if the connected HDMI equipment
supports higher color depth (e.g. output 8 bit when outputting to a TV
supporting 10 bit when 8 bit content is played).

- Improvement: Default video settings and "Auto" logic of video settings
now work in a way which ensures a better compatibility with some
  projectors.

- Improvement: In "Video / Advanced" menu, confirmation dialogs are shown
when attempting to change settings which usually should not be changed
  without a reason.

- Improvement: When performing "Reset Settings" action, a message is now
shown while the system is handling it.
