ATV12 Firmware Update for Homatics/Premier
At the moment, beta-testing program for ATV12 firmware is already full, new requests for beta testing are NOT accepted, sorry. This is a restriction by Google. Please do not send emails on this, they will be ignored.
A new Google-approved ATV12 firmware version is expected later, please wait.
Unfortunately, there is still no good enough ATV12 firmware version.
There are still problems, our Google ATV certification partner is working on debugging it.
We hope that a well-debugged ATV12 version will become available later, but currently it is not available yet, the exact date is unknown.
The latest most debugged version is still ATV11 (11.8.6261).

Version "12.8.5221"

Changes:
- Android 11 upgraded to Android 12.
- Added: Support for DTS HD HRA, DTS HD MA, DTS X bitstream passthrough.
- Added: Support for AFR in Android apps. This support is provided only for apps which use Android Frame Rate API. Compatible apps include KODI, SmartTube and some others.
- Added: Support not only for fractional 23.976 / 29.97 / 59.94 framerates (as before), but also for integer 24.0 / 30.0 / 60.0 framerates. This support is available only for apps which use Android Frame Rate API.
- Various changes and improvements in system settings for video and audio.
- Various fixes and performance improvements.
- Enhanced security and privacy with the updated Google security patches.
Known problems:
- Decoding to PCM may work with problems in some cases. The problems may include: audio cuts, no audio. The cause is a new bug in ATV12 firmware. It may be fixed in next ATV12 firmware versions, or a workaround solution may be implemented in next versions of Dune HD Media Center app.
Improvements in the new Dune HD Media Center app (besides of the support for ATV12 firmware):
Version 240619_0212:
Version 240428_0207:
- Improved: Blu-ray menu now better works with specific BD3D ISO files and specific old BD ISO files.
Version 240426_0207:
- Added: Blu-ray menu is suppored now also for ISO, NFS, SMB. Known problems: when playing specific BD images, the playback may be not smooth. There are more chances of such problems when playing ISO images, old FullHD images, BD3D images.
- Added: Blu-ray menu: to exit playback, you now need to press BACK twice, not just once. This help to prevent exiting Blu-ray menu by mistake.
- Added: A new setting "Setup / Misc / Start & Exit / Auto start Dune HD Media Center". Can be used to start Dune HD media center automatically when the box boots. Note: it does not start immediately, it may take a few seconds (depending on how many apps are installed in Android TV).
- Fixed: In ATV12 firmware, in Premier 4K Pro model, the front panel display could become not working after reboot and in some other cases; the system could show requests to give permissions to access the hardware.
- Fixed: In ATV12 firmware, information about HDR video mode in Info window could be wrong when using TV-Led DV.
- Fixed: In ATV12 firmware, the use of Auto Resolution could cause a crash. Now
Auto Resolution in ATV12 firmware can only switch between 4K and 1080p, and
between 480p and 576p. This is because ATV12 firmware changes screen
density on switching between other resolutions, and Dune HD Media Center
doees not support screen density changing.
- Fixed: Installation of apk/plugin/skins from network shares was broken in the previous version.
Version 240412_0210:
- Added support for ATV12 firmware (including: DTS HD HRA/MA/X passhtrough, new AFR API, video modes with integer framerates).
- Various fixes and improvements.
