Dune HD BOXY (BOXY with Dune HD Media Center)
Software updates for Netflix-certified Dune HD media player models
Because of Netflix and Google certifications and the use of a
Netflix-precertified platform, software updates for these models are
handled differently from other Dune HD media player models. Software
updates are split into two parts: Dune HD media center app updates and
firmware updates.

Instead of firmware updates, Dune HD usually brings improvements to these
media player models by updates of Dune HD media center
app.

These app updates can be released more frequently and it is possible to
easily switch between old and new app versions.

Firmware updates

Firmware updates pass through a long Google/Netflix certification, and
usually are not expected to be frequent.

When a firmware update is available, the media player will automatically
detect the update and suggest to download and install it. Mandatory updates
will be installed automatically.

You can not roll back from a newer firmware to an older firmware version.

- How to install:
- Download the following ZIP file to the root of a USB drive:
boxy_firmware.3.0.1.update.zip
- Rename this file to "update.zip".
- Connect the USB drive to BOXY.
- In BOXY, go to "System Settings - Devices Preferences - About - Local update". Choose "System upgrade".
- Changes:
- Fix for the "Setup up remote buttons" menu.
- Added support for multichannel PCM output (up to 7.1 channels with "Passthrough" setting).
- Google security updates.
How to fix "Unable to reach Google servers" problem

How to enter Recovery menu
BOXY has no RESET button. To enter Recovery menu on BOXY, do the following:
- Download and unpack the content of the following ZIP file into a root of FAT32-formatted USB drive:
- Disconnect power cable.
- Attach the USB drive to BOXY.
- Connect power cable.
- BOXY will boot into Recovery menu.
